Fun and highly-rated Pediatric Dental Practice in the Encinitas area is seeking a Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)<\/b> to join our team!\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience in a Pediatric Practice is a plus but not required. Our office is willing to train!\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) duties include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Communicating with both parents and children<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment\u00a0procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Teaching our patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Taking impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
