\t \t<\/i><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fun and highly rated Pediatric Dental Practice in the Carlsbad area is seeking a Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)<\/b> to join our team!\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Experience in a Orthodontic and Pediatric Practice is a plus but not required. Our office is willing to train!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm.<\/p>\n Dental Assistant (DA or RDA) duties include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Communicating with both parents and children<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment\u00a0procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Teaching our patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Taking impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nJob Description<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
